Well, I finally caught a flight at a reasonable hour and it was so wonderful. The flight was boring as usual but I had the wonderful chance to listen to Kevin's sermon. And right as it was finishing we went into a holding pattern over the Swiss Alps with snow everywhere. Let me just tell you it was a gift from God. (and it really made me want to go snow skiing!)
Anyway once I landed and got off the plane I had to buy a train ticket to get to the main train station. Easy. I speak the language. I've bought a million train tickets. Wrong and barely. Swiss German DOES NOT equal High German. Not even close. Furthermore, the only day cards that exist in Switzerland are day cards for DOGS!! ugh!But once I finally figured it out (and found my way out of the FREAKIN' train station), I wandered around the old city and found a cheaper hostel for me and McKin and then headed back to the train station to anxiously wait for McKin! And once she finally got there we tried to buy her a day card (and alas could only find one for a dog) so we walked to our new hostel. And another thing...the first hour McKin and I were together we did nothing but laugh. Constantly. One of the thousands of reasons why I'm obsessed.
Once we checked in we went and looked at 3 churches. and, well apparently, thats the only thing to see in Zurich. haha, no im not kidding! So we wandered around and found our way to the cheapest of expensive restaurant where we split a bottle of wine and a pizza. Aren't we so romantic?!
