Today was well, the routine as usual. Class in the morning and then I came home to do some cooking, cleaning, laundry, and work. I also had my theater class at night for the first time in 3 weeks which was weird, but nice to have something to do. I have a presentation tomorrow in my German class on the Turkish Market which I had to "prepare" for and I am also starting my grand cleaning of the apartment before my host mom comes home.
And as I was cleaning I noticed a cobweb on my rainbows. A COBWEB!!! Do you realize what that means!? I haven't worn them in who only knows how long. And I kinda feel bad about it. Never in my long Texas life have I abandoned my flip flops for that long. Not even after I migrated to North Carolina...this really is a tragedy.
And then, my cobwebbed rainbows got me thinking about how different Berlin weather is from anything I've ever experienced. Take for example that there have been clouds here EVERYDAY since the end of September. And no, I'm not kidding. OK, maybe 2 days with the sun. But every other day has been SO overcast.
And now, with daylight savings the sun sets at...drum roll please...4:30!! That's right! WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON!? I was talking to Zach on Skype yesterday and looked out my window to see this beautiful sunset. and then I looked at my watch and saw that it was 4:25 and i wanted to vomit...Oh how I miss the south!!
